Regular Season Round 30: Rieker KN - Prievidza 80-78

The most exciting game of round 30 in the SBL took place in Komarno. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 4th ranked Prievidza (19-11) to sixth ranked Rieker KN (16-14) 80-78 on Saturday evening. Rieker KN forced 20 Prievidza turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by Prievidza helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American forward Miles Bowman-Jr (198-93, college: High Point) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 18 rebounds. Guard Lukas Hoferica (182-89) chipped in 7 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Jarquez Smith (206-94, college: Florida St.) who recorded 24 points and 9 rebounds and the former international guard Marek Jass (194-90) added 9 points and 15 rebounds respectively. Rieker KN maintains sixth position with 16-14 record. Prievidza at the other side keeps the fourth place with 11 games lost. Rieker KN are looking forward to face league's leader Inter Bratislava on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Prievidza will play against Handlova and is hoping to win this game.
