Regular Season Round 36: Mineros - Panteras 94-77

LNBP top team - Mineros (23-10) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat tenth ranked Panteras (7-23) 94-77. They outrebounded Panteras 42-24 including 30 on the defensive glass. Mineros players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of American guard Eric McClellan (193-93, college: Gonzaga, agency: KMG Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and Panamanian center Jaime Lloreda (204-80, college: LSU) who added 15 points and 16 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international swingman Jorge-Alfredo Casillas (196-90) with 15 points and 5 assists and American power forward Christophe Massie (206-77, college: Memphis) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Five Panteras players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Mineros maintains first position with 23-10 record, which they share with Soles. Panteras lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom. Mineros will play against Santos (#8) in San Luis Potosi in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Panteras will play at home against Correcaminos and hope to get back on the winning track.
