Very important is a road loss of second ranked Firenze All Foods (16-4) against twelfth ranked USE Basket (8-12) on Saturday night. Visiting Firenze All Foods were defeated by USE Basket in a tough game in Empoli 79-85. USE Basket made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. USE Basket outrebounded Firenze All Foods 39-25 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was forward Gabriele Giarelli (200-93, agency: Octagon Europe) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!).
