The game between second ranked Lille Metropole (13-4) and seventh ranked Sluc Nancy (11-6) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Lille Metropole was crushed by Sluc Nancy in Nancy 41-76. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Lille Metropole. Sluc Nancy forced 21 Lille Metropole turnovers. American guard Dewayne Russell (180-94, college: Grand Canyon) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points and 4 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). Canadian-Jamaican swingman Jevohn Shepherd (196-86, college: Michigan) contributed with 10 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four Sluc Nancy players scored in double figures. Swingman Thomas Ceci-Diop (199-92) answered with 7 points and 7 rebounds and Nigerian-American power forward Cory Remekun (203-91, college: St.Louis, agency: Inception Sports) added 6 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Lille Metropole. Lille Metropole's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Sluc Nancy moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Saint-Chamond. Lille Metropole at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. They share it with Blois.
