Regular Season Round 16: IK Eos - Koping Stars 75-95

The game in Lund supposed to be quite interesting. Second ranked Koping Stars (15-1) played at the court of 7th ranked IK Eos (5-12). Koping Stars did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 95-75 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Koping Stars. IK Eos managed to win fourth quarter 24-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Koping Stars dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to IK Eos' 40. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Stanford Brown (204-90, college: Lamar) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. The other American import guard Austin Price (193, college: Lehigh) contributed with 27 points and 4 assists for the winners. Brown is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Guard Gustav Sundstrom (197-91) replied with 23 points and 6 rebounds and forward Marcus Dahlqvist (191-96) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for IK Eos. IK Eos' coach Jovan Zdravevski rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Koping Stars have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. IK Eos at the other side keep the seventh place with 12 games lost. Koping Stars will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. IK Eos will play on the road against Trelleborg (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
