The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Bank of Taiwan's (9-12) loss to fifth ranked KKL (12-11) 78-86 on Saturday. KKL had a 34-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for American-Puerto Rican center Peter Ramos (222-85) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 26 rebounds and 5 assists (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field). The former international swingman Jung-Hsuan Chang (192-87) helped adding 21 points. At the losing side Costa Rican-Belizean forward Charles Garcia (208-88, college: Seattle) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds and swingman Hoyo Long (192-88) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Five Bank of Taiwan players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for KKL. They moved-up to third place. Bank of Taiwan lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 12 games lost. KKL will meet Fubon Braves (#4) in the next round. Bank of Taiwan will play against the league's leader Yulon Luxgen and hope to secure a win.
