Regular Season Round 21: Pleszew - Lubin 96-45

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Pleszew (13-8) smashed at home 14th ranked Lubin (3-17) 96-45 on Saturday. Pleszew dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Lubin's 24. Pleszew forced 19 Lubin turnovers. The best player for the winners was point guard Alan Urbaniak (185-85) who scored 18 points and 5 assists. Swingman Artur Mrowczynski (194-84) chipped in 18 points (perfect from the field making all six shots). Five Pleszew players scored in double figures. Pleszew's coach Kasper Smektala felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Damian Szablewski (191-91) who recorded 15 points and 6 rebounds and Karol Wisniewski (195-94) added 4 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Pleszew moved-up to fifth place in Group D. Lubin lost their third game in a row. Lubin at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourteenth position with 17 games lost. Pleszew will face Gimbasket WRC (#11) in Wroclaw in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Lubin will play at home against Nowa Sol and hope to win that game.
