Regular Season Round 18: Albino - Costa Masnaga 54-81

Very expected game when 11th ranked Albino (5-13) was rolled over at home by second ranked Costa Masnaga (15-3) 81-54 on Saturday. Costa Masnaga made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 24 Albino turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Valentina Baldelli (169-89) who scored 17 points, 6 assists and 6 steals. Power forward Giulia Rulli (184-91, agency: SPORTlab Agency) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was British forward Shequila Joseph (190-95, college: Mississippi) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and power forward Emanuela Valente (185-97) added 15 points respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Costa Masnaga maintains second position in A2 with 15-3 record having just two points less than leader Sesto SG. Loser Albino dropped to the twelfth place with 13 games lost. Costa Masnaga will face San Salvatore (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Albino will play against Bolzano and hope to win that game.
