Regular Season Round 15: Tresnjevka - Ragusa 47-46

Fifth-ranked Ragusa (7-6) gave a tough game to first ranked Tresnjevka (13-1) in Zagreb on Sunday. Tresnjevka managed to secure only one-point victory 47-46. However their fans expected much easier game. Ragusa was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 16-12 charge of Tresnjevka, which allowed them to win the game. They held Ragusa to an opponent 23.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 28.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Tresnjevka forced 21 Ragusa turnovers. It was a great evening for forward Lucija Kostic (187-0) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds. Center Josipa Pavic (187-99) helped adding 12 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Josipa Zovko (186-90) with 18 points and 7 rebounds and forward Katarina Matijevic (184-95) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Tresnjevka maintains first place with 13-1 record. Ragusa at the other side keeps the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with Podravac. Tresnjevka are looking forward to face Plamen Pozega (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ragusa will play against Podravac (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
