Regular Season Round 19: BM Slam Stal - Legia 75-60

No shocking result in a game in Ostrow Wlkp. where ninth ranked BM Slam Stal (11-8) defeated bottom-ranked Legia (1-20) 75-60 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 43-25 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. BM Slam Stal outrebounded Legia 44-28 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American point guard Aaron Johnson (173-88, college: UAB, agency: Two Points) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international center Adam Lapeta (217-87, agency: Alti Sport) helped adding 19 points and 12 rebounds. At the losing side American guard Anthony Beane (188-94, college: S.Illinois, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with 29 points and point guard Lukasz Wilczek (190-86) scored 7 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. BM Slam Stal have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place. Legia lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 20 lost games. BM Slam Stal will meet at home Miasto Szkla (#14) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Legia will play against GTK in Gliwice and hope to win that game.
