Regular Season Round 24: Yamanashi QB - Aishin AW 57-70

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 11th ranked Yamanashi QB's (2-22) home loss to tenth ranked Aishin Wings (7-17) 57-70 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Aishin Wings. Yamanashi QB managed to win second period 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Aishin Wings made 13 blocks. The best player for the winners was forward Hikari Itaya (176-93) who scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks. Swingman Zuozhi Aoyuan (167-91) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Moeno Oka (176-93) who recorded 11 points and 8 rebounds and guard Uchibori Murasaki (165-94) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Aishin Wings moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Haneda Vickies. Yamanashi QB lost tenth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 22 games lost. Aishin Wings will meet bottom-ranked Niigata R. (#12) in the next round. Yamanashi QB will play against Toyota A. in Nagoya and hope to secure a win.
