Regular Season Round 35: Kumamoto V. - Kagawa FA 58-64

The game between second ranked Kumamoto V. (24-10) and fifth ranked Kagawa FA (16-17) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Kumamoto V. was defeated by Kagawa FA in a tough game in Kumamoto 58-64. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Kumamoto V.. The best player for the winners was American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Montay Brandon (203-93, college: Florida St.) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. Four Kagawa FA players scored in double figures. Power forward Ryota Nakanishi (199-88) produced 14 points and 7 rebounds and Dutch-Australian power forward Josh Duinker (209-89, college: Richmond) added 9 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kagawa FA moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Cyberdyne IR. Kumamoto V. at the other side keeps the second position with ten games lost. Kagawa FA will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kumamoto V. will play at home against Shinshu BW and is hoping to win this game.
