Regular Season Round 20: Vicenza - Lecco 65-70

Round 20 games in the Serie B were marked by very close results. The first upset was a home defeat of 5th ranked Vicenza (12-8) to fourth ranked Lecco (13-7) 70-65. It ended the two-game winning streak of Vicenza. Lecco forced 24 Vicenza turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Alberto Cacace (198-96) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and power forward Jacopo Balanzoni (204-93, agency: Interperformances) who added 18 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Lecco players scored in double figures. Forward Andrea Campiello (200-87) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Daniele Demartini (184-84, agency: Players Group) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Lecco maintains fourth position in B with 13-7 record, which they share with Faenza. Vicenza at the other side dropped to the sixth place with eight games lost. Lecco is looking forward to face Lugo (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Vicenza will play against Padova (#10) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
