Very expected game when 10th ranked Sitra (7-17) was crushed at home by fifth ranked Al-Riffa (16-8) 81-59 on Sunday. American-New Zealand forward Marcel Jones (203-85, college: Oregon St.) scored 36 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Ahmed-Ali Husain chipped in 6 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Al-Riffa's coach Toni Vujanic felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American center Steven Toyloy (203-87, college: Cincinnati) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 25 rebounds and 5 assists and Iraqi Ali Abdulla scored 16 points.
