Regular Season Round 20: Catanzaro - Roma Tiber 79-70

There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Catanzaro (9-11) beat at home 9th ranked Roma Tiber (8-11) 79-70 on Sunday. Roma Tiber was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian guard Nicolas Morici (192-94, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and power forward Tommaso Pichi (202-96) who added 20 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Catanzaro players scored in double figures. Guard Daniele Ricciardi (184-81) responded with 34 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and power forward Andrea Valentini (199-98, agency: SPORTlab Agency) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Catanzaro moved-up to ninth place in B, which they share with Rimini and Padova. Newly promoted Roma Tiber dropped to the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Catanzaro will face league's second-placed Valmontone on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Roma Tiber will play against Patti (#14) and hope to win that game.
