Regular Season Round 24: Denso Iris - Toyota B SR 66-55

Very predictable result in Kariya where second ranked Denso Iris (19-5) defeated 7th ranked Toyota B SR (12-12) 66-55 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Denso Iris. Toyota B SR managed to win third quarter 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Denso Iris dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Toyota B SR's 24. They outrebounded Toyota B SR 47-35 including 18 on the offensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Denso Iris made 9 blocks. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Maki Takada (183-89) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds. The former international guard Momoko Inai (166-95) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds.
