Regular Season Round 18: Dijon - Cholet 74-76

Tenth-ranked Dijon (9-7) gave a tough game to top-ranked Cholet (16-0) on Monday. The visitors from Cholet managed to secure only two-point victory 76-74. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Dijon. Cholet forced 20 Dijon turnovers and outrebounded them 38-19 including a 28-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by Dijon helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Center Melvyn Govindy (213-97) scored 22 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Killian Hayes (194-1) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Dimitri Radnic (194-99) with 27 points and 6 rebounds and guard Damien Archinard (196-98) scored 19 points. Dijon's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Cholet have an impressive 16-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-0 record. Dijon at the other side keeps the tenth place with seven games lost. Cholet are looking forward to face league's second-placed Strasbourg U21 at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Dijon will play against Boulazac (#15) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
