Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Manama: Al-Najma (#7) and Samaheej (#13). Al-Najma (14-10) smashed visiting Samaheej (2-22) by 19 points 73-54. Al-Najma looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Samaheej's players. Mohammed Bullay scored 12 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Haminn Quaintance (203-85, college: Kent St.) chipped in 8 points and 7 assists during the contest. Jassim Mohamed responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and Hussain Busafwan scored 15 points. Al-Najma maintains seventh position with 14-10 record. Loser Samaheej stay dead last with 22 lost games.
