Rather predictable result when second ranked Flying Leopards (28-8) won against 5th ranked Leopards (24-12) in Yingkou 119-107 on Tuesday. Flying Leopards shot 60.5 percent from the field. Flying Leopards had a 30-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a good game for American forward Brandon Bass (203-85, college: LSU, agency: Dutt Sports Services) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The other American import Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin) contributed with 27 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Five Flying Leopards players scored in double figures. American-Montenegrin point guard Tyrese Rice (185-87, college: Boston Coll.) replied with 20 points and 9 assists and the former international swingman Duo Meng (192-90) added 19 points in the effort for Leopards. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Flying Leopards have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 28-8 record having just two points less than leader Guangsha L. Loser Leopards dropped to the sixth place with 12 games lost. Flying Leopards will face Long-Lions (#9) in Guangzhou in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Leopards will play on the road against Sharks in Shanghai and hope to win that game.
