Regular Season Round 36: Zhejiang GB - Guangdong ST 102-107

Very expected game when 10th ranked Golden Bulls (19-17) lost to third ranked Guandong Tigers (27-9) in Hangzhou 102-107 on Tuesday. Guandong Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Golden Bulls' 38. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for the former international Jianlian Yi (212-87) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds. American guard Darius Morris (193-91, college: Michigan) contributed with 22 points and 6 assists for the winners. American swingman Sonny Weems (198-86, college: Arkansas) replied with 30 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and international guard Qian Wu (190-94) added 34 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Golden Bulls. Guandong Tigers have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 27-9 record having just three points less than leader Guangsha L. Golden Bulls lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 17 games lost. Guandong Tigers will face Jilin Tigers (#18) in Changchun in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Golden Bulls will play on the road against Blue Whales (#17) in Sichuan and hope to win that game.
