No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Amsterdam (5-13) crushed on the road 9th ranked Weert (3-15) 80-55. The game without a history. Amsterdam led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Weert to just 5 points in second quarter. Amsterdam dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Weert's 28. Amsterdam forced 20 Weert turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Aaron Roye (184-88) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international swingman Dimeo Van-Der-Horst (197-91) who added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Five Amsterdam players scored in double figures. Power forward Roel Aarts (205-93) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds and center Yarick Brussen (208-0) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. Weert's coach Radenko Varagic already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Amsterdam moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Leeuwarden. Weert lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Den Helder. Amsterdam will play against bottom-ranked Den Helder (#9) at home in the next round. Weert will play against Rotterdam and hopes to get back on the winning track.
