Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Tessilform Bernareggio (8-13) was outplayed on the road by second ranked Piacenza (16-5) 90-67 on Wednesday. Piacenza forced 19 Tessilform Bernareggio turnovers. The best player for the winners was naturalized Argentinian forward Duilio Birindelli (200-84) who scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. The former international power forward Riccardo Perego (202-81) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Five Piacenza players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Federico De Bettin (180-94) who recorded 9 points and 5 assists and forward Manuel Pastori (199-96) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Piacenza maintains second place in B with 16-5 record having just three points less than leader San Severo, which they share with Crema. Newly promoted Tessilform Bernareggio dropped to the eleventh position with 13 games lost. Piacenza will face Palermo GB (#14) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Tessilform Bernareggio will play against Volpino and hope to win that game.
