The game in Jyvaskyla was also quite interesting. Third ranked ToPo (13-5) played at the court of 8th ranked Jyvaskyla BA (8-8). ToPo managed to secure a 4-point victory 88-84 on Wednesday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Jyvaskyla BA won third quarter 21-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Jyvaskyla BA was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American swingman LD Williams (193-88, college: Wake Forest) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Miki Kuusisto (194-94) contributed with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. ToPo's coach Pekka Konttinen used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Valtteri Leppanen (186-97) replied with 15 points and 7 assists and power forward Jeretapio Luoma (202-93) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Jyvaskyla BA. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. ToPo maintains third position in Division with 13-5 record behind leader HBA-Marsky. Loser Jyvaskyla BA keeps the eighth place with eight games lost. ToPo will face Pyrinto II (#6) in Tampere in the next round. Jyvaskyla BA will play on the road against Forssan Koripojat and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
