No shocking result in a game in Pavia where eighth ranked Omnia Basket (11-10) defeated 15th ranked Moncalieri (3-18) 73-65 on Wednesday. The best player for the winners was swingman Saverio Mazzantini (195-95, agency: Players Group) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Power forward Thomas De-Min (202-86) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Fabio Delvecchio (194-94) who recorded 17 points and guard Guglielmo De Ros (185-98) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Moncalieri's coach Marco Spanu tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Omnia Basket moved-up to seventh place in B, which they share with Forli Tigers. Loser Moncalieri keeps the fifteenth position with 18 games lost. Omnia Basket will face Cecina (#9) on the road in the next round. Moncalieri will play against the league's leader Omegna (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
