The game between ninth ranked Long-Lions (20-16) and 18th ranked Jilin Tigers (7-29) in Guangzhou on Wednesday ended with biggest points difference. Long-Lions outscored guests from Changchun 124-96. Long-Lions made 30-of-31 free shots (96.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Jilin Tigers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Jilin Tigers were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Palestinian center Sani Sakakini (204-88) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds. American point guard Kyle Fogg (190-90, college: Arizona) contributed with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. American forward Carl Landry (206-83, college: Purdue) replied with 31 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and forward Biao Zhang (201-90) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Jilin Tigers. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Long-Lions maintains ninth position with 20-16 record. Jilin Tigers lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the eighteenth place with 29 games lost. Long-Lions will face league's second-placed Flying Leopards in Yingkou in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Jilin Tigers will play on the road against Guandong Tigers (#3) in Dongguan and hope to win that game.
