Regular Season Round 21: Varese Robur - Omegna 57-60

Fourteenth-ranked Varese Robur (6-15) made lots of trouble for first ranked Omegna (19-2). The visitors from Omegna managed to secure only three-point victory 60-57. However their fans expected much easier game. It was a good game for forward Marco Arrigoni (198-91, agency: Players Group) who led his team to a victory with 14 points. Naturalized Argentinian center Marcelo Dip (205-84, agency: Players Group) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Corrado Bianconi (202-94) answered with 15 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Davide Rosignoli (203-88) added 11 points in the effort for Varese Robur. Varese Robur's coach Francesco Vescovi rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Omegna maintains first place in B with 19-2 record. Varese Robur at the other side keeps the fourteenth position with 15 games lost. Omegna will play against Moncalieri (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Varese Robur will play against Valsesia and hopes to get back on the winning track.
