Very expected game when 14th ranked Independiente (6-16) was edged by seventh ranked Deportivo Norte (12-11) in Santiago del Estero 74-72 on Wednesday. Guard Franco Borselino (185) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points and 8 assists. Point guard Rodrigo Gallegos contributed with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American power forward Willie Readus (201-92, college: Delta St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and Alejandro Spalla (197-89) added 16 points in the effort for Independiente. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Deportivo Norte maintains seventh position in North with 12-11 record, which they share with San Isidro.
