Regular Season Round 31: Inter Bratislava - Rieker KN 81-84

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Inter Bratislava (27-4) at the home court on Wednesday night. Hosts were edged by sixth ranked Rieker KN (17-14) 84-81. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Inter Bratislava. Rieker KN made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. 26 personal fouls committed by Inter Bratislava helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of Slovenian guard Boban Tomic (190-88) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 5 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Serbian guard Vuk Djordjevic (193-91) contributed with 17 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Rieker KN players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Radoslav Rancik (205-79, college: St.Cloud St., agency: BeoBasket) answered with 26 points and 9 rebounds and Serbian Nemanja Barac (194-90, agency: 011 Sports) added 12 points and 4 assists in the effort for Inter Bratislava. Inter Bratislava's coach Oliver Vidin tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Rieker KN maintains sixth place with 17-14 record. Defending champion Inter Bratislava still keeps top position with four games lost. Rieker KN are looking forward to face higher ranked Iskra Svit (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Inter Bratislava will play against Handlova (#8) and is hoping to win this game.
