Important game to mention about took place in Mirandola. Sixth ranked Tezenis Verona (13-7) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 8th ranked Dinamica MNV (11-9) 73-72 on Wednesday evening. Tezenis Verona made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American point guard Phil Greene-IV (187-92, college: St.John's) who scored that evening 18 points and 4 assists and power forward Mitchell Poletti (205-88) supported him with 16 points and 5 rebounds. Tezenis Verona's coach Luca Dalmonte allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 34 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) by the former international Riccardo Moraschini (194-91) did not help to save the game for Dinamica MNV. The former international power forward Francesco Candussi (211-94) added 20 points for the hosts. Tezenis Verona moved-up to fourth place in A2. Dinamica MNV at the other side keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. Tezenis Verona will play against league's second-placed F.Kontatto BO in Bologna in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Dinamica MNV will play on the road against Treviso Basket (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
