Ninth-ranked Sokhumi (1-16) made lots of trouble for seventh ranked Mgzavrebi (6-11) in Tbilisi. The visitors managed to secure only one-point victory 76-75. However their fans expected easier game. Sokhumi was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 31-26 second half run of Mgzavrebi. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Adrian Bowie (189-89, college: Maryland) who led the winners and scored 24 points and 4 assists. International Kakhaber Jintcharadze (195-93) accounted for 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. American point guard Kwan Waller (183-89, college: Ky Wesleyan) came up with 22 points and 5 assists and center Sergo Atuashvili (223-85) added 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for Sokhumi in the defeat. Four Sokhumi players scored in double figures. Mgzavrebi maintains seventh place with 6-11 record. Sokhumi lost fourteenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Mgzavrebi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena .
