Regular Season Round 21: Sestu - Battipaglia 64-77

There was a small surprise when fifteenth ranked Battipaglia (4-17) beat on the road 12th ranked Sestu (7-14) 77-64 on Thursday. The best player for the winners was point guard Vincenzo Di-Capua (186-87) who scored 20 points and 5 assists. Point guard Mattia Norcino (185-93) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. Four Battipaglia players scored in double figures. Battipaglia's coach Antonino Sanfilippo used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Giuliano Samoggia (200-83) who recorded 21 points and 7 rebounds and guard Mirko Pilo (185-88) added 14 points respectively. Newly promoted Battipaglia maintains fifteenth place in B with 4-17 record. Sestu at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. Battipaglia will face league's leader Basket Barcellona at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
