There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Aurira Jesi (11-10) outleveled at home 11th ranked Imola (11-10) 78-56 on Thursday. The best player for the winners was American guard Kenny Hasbrouck (191-86, college: Siena) who scored 26 points and 6 rebounds. Luca Fontecchio (202-91, agency: Players Group) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Four Aurira Jesi players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Davide Alviti (202-96) who recorded 9 points and 11 rebounds and American Jeremiah Wilson (205-88, college: Tarleton St.) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aurira Jesi moved-up to ninth place in A2. Aurira Jesi will face higher ranked Montegrano (#6) in Montenegrano in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Imola will play on the road against the league's second-placed F.Kontatto BO (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
