Regular Season Round 21: Remer Treviglio - NPC Rieti 72-62

There was a minor upset when 11th ranked NPC Rieti (10-11) was defeated on the road by fourteenth ranked Remer Treviglio (8-13) 72-62 on Thursday. Remer Treviglio looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was swingman Andrea Pecchia (194-97) who scored 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Naturalized Serbian swingman Nemanja Dincic (203-98) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Nigerian Jamal Olasewere (201-91, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: HMS) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and American-Nigerian guard Zaid Hearst (193-92, college: Quinnipiac) added 15 points and 4 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) respectively. Remer Treviglio moved-up to thirteenth place in A2. Loser NPC Rieti dropped to the tenth position with 11 games lost. Remer Treviglio will face higher ranked Cagliari Academy (#11) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
