There was an upset when higher ranked Civitanova (11-10) was defeated at home by fifteenth ranked Perugia (5-16) 76-60 on Thursday. The best player for the winners was Umberto Meschini (188-94) who scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Davide Marchini (185-95, agency: Players Group) chipped in 18 points and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Francesco Amoroso (201-78) who recorded 17 points and forward Riccardo Coviello (195-88) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Civitanova's coach Raffaele Rossi tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Perugia moved-up to fourteenth place in B, which they share with Palermo GB and Reggio Emilia. Newly promoted Civitanova dropped to the sixth position with ten games lost. Perugia will face Ortona (#16) on the road in the next round.
