Regular Season Round 21: FSU - Breidablik 82-105

The game in Selfoss supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Breidablik (14-5) played at the court of 8th ranked FSU (3-16). Breidablik smashed FSU 105-82. The game without a history. Breidablik led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 20-of-24 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Breidablik outrebounded FSU 45-34 including a 35-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a good game for American forward Chris Woods (195-89, college: Pfeiffer) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 6 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Jeremy Smith (190, college: Nicholls St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Five Breidablik players scored in double figures. Breidablik's coach Larus Jonsson felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Antowine Lamb (203-88, college: McPherson) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Ari Gylfason (186-89) added 22 points in the effort for FSU. Breidablik moved-up to second place, which they share with Vestri. FSU at the other side keeps the eighth position with 16 games lost. Breidablik's next round opponent will be Fjolnir (#6) in Reykjavik. FSU will play against the league's second-placed Vestri and hope to win that game.
