Second Stage Round 9: Libertad S. - Ameghino 95-91

TNA top team - Libertad Sunchales (16-7) added another victory to their record. This time they beat eleventh ranked Ameghino (11-15) 95-91. 24 personal fouls committed by Ameghino helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for swingman Bruno Barovero (194-90) who led his team to a victory with 28 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Ernesto Zago contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American forward Tirrell Brown (198-93, college: Ouachita Baptist) answered with 19 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Matias Cuello (190-91) added 19 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Ameghino. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ameghino's coach Pablo Castro rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Libertad Sunchales maintains first place in North with 16-7 record. Ameghino lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with 15 games lost. Libertad Sunchales' next round opponent will be San Isidro (#6) in San Francisco which should be theoretically an easy game. Ameghino will play on the road against Independiente (#14) in Santiago del Estero and hope to win that game.
