Regular Season Round 19: Paulistano - Mogi 84-67

An interesting game for Paulistano (17-3) which hosted in Sao Paulo 4th placed Mogi (14-4). First ranked Paulistano had an easy win 84-67. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Mogi. Paulistano looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Lucas Dias-Silva (209-95) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 7 rebounds. The former international point guard Elio Corazza (193-89, college: Miami Dade CC) contributed with 9 points and 8 assists for the winners. Four Paulistano players scored in double figures. American forward Tyrone Curnell (203-88, college: Valdosta St.) answered with 10 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized American Shamell Stallworth (195-80, college: USF, agency: Interperformances) added 9 points and 7 assists in the effort for Mogi. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Paulistano have an impressive series of fifteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 17-3 record. Mogi at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Paulistano are looking forward to face SKY/Basquete (#10) in Aldeota in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mogi will play at home against Caxias do Sul (#7) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
