Regular Season Round 19: Poitiers - Lille 75-69

We should mention about the upset which took place in Poitiers, where 4th placed Lille Metropole (13-6) lost to thirteenth ranked Poitiers (7-12) in a road game 69-75 on Friday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Lille Metropole won third quarter 17-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American-Dominican guard Anthony Goods (191-87, college: Stanford, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 5 assists. American power forward Ron Anderson (205-89, college: S.Florida, agency: Octagon Europe) helped adding 13 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Rakeem Buckles (203-90, college: FIU) responded with 12 points and 7 rebounds and Spanish guard Marcos Suka-Umu (192-85) scored 11 points and 4 assists. Four Lille Metropole players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Poitiers moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Lille Metropole lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with Roanne and Saint-Chamond. Poitiers will meet JA Vichy (#11) on the road in the next round. Lille Metropole will play against Quimper UJAP (#17) and hope to secure a win.
