Regular Season Round 19: Blois - Rouen 77-59

There was no surprise when 8th ranked SPO Rouen (10-9) was defeated on the road by second ranked ADA Blois (15-4) 77-59. The game was mostly controlled by ADA Blois. SPO Rouen was better in second period 15-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded SPO Rouen 43-28 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for American-Bahamas forward Jonathan Fairell (201-93, college: Murray St., agency: Duran International) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds. American point guard Torey Thomas (178-85, college: Holy Cross) accounted for 15 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Four ADA Blois players scored in double figures. American Amin Stevens (203-90, college: Florida A&M) came up with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Nigerian-British guard Obi Emegano (190-93, college: ORU) added 15 points respectively for SPO Rouen in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. ADA Blois maintains second place with 15-4 record behind leader Orleans. SPO Rouen at the other side keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. ADA Blois' next round opponent will be league's leader Entente Orleans 45 on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. SPO Rouen will play against Aix-Maurienne (#15) and hope to win that game.
