An interesting game for Chunghwa Telecom (5-6) which played against their biggest opponent Taiyuan Textile (7-4). Third ranked Chunghwa Telecom managed to get a 5-point victory 59-54. Chunghwa Telecom had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by international swingman Yen-Yu Chen (169-94) who scored that evening 17 points and international forward Wei-Lin Wang (180-93) supported her with 6 points and 12 rebounds. Chunghwa Telecom's coach Ke-Meng Yi used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 19 points and 5 rebounds by international forward Ying-Chieh Wu (179-92) did not help to save the game for Taiyuan Textile. The former international forward Xi-Ye Liu (172-91) added 12 points for lost side. Chunghwa Telecom maintains third position with 5-6 record having five points less than leader Cathay Life. Loser Taiyuan Textile keeps the second place with four games lost. Chunghwa Telecom will meet bottom-ranked Taipower (#4) in the next round. Taiyuan Textile will play against the league's leader Cathay Life and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
