Regular Season Round 20: Jamtland - BC Lulea 72-84

Leader BC Lulea delivered the sixteenth victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 5th ranked KFUM Jamtland (9-11) 84-72 in Ostersund. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of KFUM Jamtland. The game was mostly controlled by BC Lulea. KFUM Jamtland managed to win second period 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a quality performance of the former international Tom Liden (203-87) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Brandon Rozzell (188-89, college: VCU) who added 20 points during the contest. Four BC Lulea players scored in double figures. American center William Paul (208-88, college: Arkansas Tech) responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds and Estonian swingman Jaan Puidet (191-92) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains first position with 16-4 record. Loser KFUM Jamtland keeps the fifth place with 11 games lost. BC Lulea will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. KFUM Jamtland will play against Boras Basket (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
