Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Cagliari V. (3-15) was outscored by fifth ranked Civitanova (11-6) in Civitanova Marche 80-42 on Saturday. Civitanova dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Cagliari V.'s 24. Civitanova forced 23 Cagliari V. turnovers and outrebounded them 41-20 including a 26-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Civitanova looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Cagliari V.'s players. It was a very good performance for power forward Jomanda Rosier (184-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Jessica Trobbiani (173-89) contributed with 13 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four Civitanova players scored in double figures. Power forward Francesca Orsini (185-95) answered with 6 points and 7 rebounds and forward Alessandra Markovic (178-99) added 9 points in the effort for Cagliari V.The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Civitanova maintains fifth place in A2 with 11-6 record. Loser Cagliari V. keeps the thirteenth position with 15 games lost. Civitanova will face Spezzina (#6) in La Spezia in the next round.
