No shocking result in a game in Okinawa where first ranked Ryukyu GK (28-8) won against 4th ranked Shiga L-Stars (11-25) 70-66 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Hilton Armstrong (210-84, college: Connecticut) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and international forward Ira Brown (193-82, college: Gonzaga) who added 12 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American-Israeli center DOr Fischer (211-81, college: W.Virginia) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) and Australian forward Venky Jois (202-93, college: E.Washington) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Ryukyu GK maintains first position with 28-8 record, which they share with Toyota Alvark and SeaHorses. Shiga L-Stars lost eleventh consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 25 games lost. Ryukyu GK will face Hitachi Sunrockers (#4) in Tokyo in the next round. Shiga L-Stars will play at home against Osaka Evessa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
