Leader Saint Vallier delivered the nineteenth win on Saturday night. This time they beat 16th ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (7-14) 89-71. They outrebounded Lourdes-Tarbes 36-18 including a 29-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Saint Vallier looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Michael Craion (195-89, college: ORU) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). The former international William Gradit (197-82, college: Hill JC) chipped in 15 points. Saint Vallier's coach Jean-Sebastien Chardon used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian swingman Igor Djukovic (202-87) who recorded 19 points and Vincentian-Canadian forward Lien Phillip (203-89) added 11 points respectively. Four Lourdes-Tarbes players scored in double figures. Saint Vallier have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 19-2 record. Lourdes-Tarbes lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifteenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Aubenas and GET Vosges. Saint Vallier are looking forward to face UB Chartres (#5) on the road in the next round. Lourdes-Tarbes will play against Orchesien BC (#11) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
