Regular Season Round 22: Gimbasket WRC - Pleszew 73-69

There was an upset when higher ranked Pleszew (13-9) lost to eleventh ranked Gimbasket WRC (8-13) in Wroclaw 69-73 on Saturday. Quite impressive performance for point guard Maciej Kosciuk (181-94) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. Forward Michal Pietrzak (199-93) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Gimbasket WRC players scored in double figures. Swingman Artur Mrowczynski (194-84) replied with 15 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Rafal Urbaniak (200-82) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Pleszew. Gimbasket WRC maintains eleventh position in Group D with 8-13 record. Newly promoted Pleszew keeps the fifth place with nine games lost. Gimbasket WRC will face higher ranked Nowa Sol (#9) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Pleszew will play against the league's second-placed Slask 2 Wroclaw (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
