Regular Season Round 23: Roser - Tarragona 63-75

Everything went according to plan when ninth ranked Tarragona (7-8) won against on the road 14th ranked Roser (4-12) 75-63 on Saturday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Tarragona dominated on the defensive end, holding Roser to just 6 points in third quarter. The best player for the winners was Daniel Tugores (185-95) who scored 17 points. American forward Michael Balkovic (198-93, college: Caldwell, agency: Dynamics Global Management) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Tarragona players scored in double figures. Point guard Xavier Assalit (187-95) produced 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Sergi Tubert added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Tarragona moved-up to eighth place in Group C-A. Newly promoted Roser keeps the fourteenth position with 12 games lost. Tarragona will face Sant Adria (#9) at home in the next round. Roser will play against Castelldefels (#10) and hope to win that game.
