Regular Season Round 23: UAF Lucentum - Paterna 55-76

Very expected game in Alicante where 11th ranked UAF Lucentum (3-13) was rolled over by fifth ranked Paterna (10-6) 76-55 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-55. The best player for the winners was forward Juan-Luis Navarro (195-91) who scored 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Vicent Santamatilde (197-94) chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Miguel Ortin (170-98) produced 13 points and 4 assists and Aldo Serneguet (-96) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Paterna. They maintain fifth place in Group E with 10-6 record. Newly promoted UAF Lucentum keeps the eleventh position with 13 games lost. Paterna will face league's leader Gandia at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. UAF Lucentum will play against Aldaia (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
