An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Aalstar. Third ranked Okapi Aalstar faced 4th ranked Spirou Charleroi. Host Okapi Aalstar (11-6) defeated guests from Charleroi (9-6) 91-76. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Spirou Charleroi. Spirou Charleroi was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American point guard Wesley Channels (190-88, college: Austin Peay St.) who led his team to a victory with 20 points. The former international swingman Olivier Troisfontaines (196-89) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Troisfontaines is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Okapi Aalstar players scored in double figures. Serbian center Rasko Katic (208-80, agency: BeoBasket) replied with 16 points and 5 rebounds and American Keaton Grant (193-86, college: Purdue) added 15 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) in the effort for Spirou Charleroi. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Okapi Aalstar maintains third position with 11-6 record having eight points less than leader Oostende. Spirou Charleroi at the other side dropped to the fifth place with six games lost. Okapi Aalstar will play against Limburg United (#6) on the road in the next round. Spirou Charleroi will play against the league's second-placed Antwerp Giants and hopes to get back on the winning track.
