Regular Season Round 22: Roma Luiss - Isernia 101-80

Very predictable result when sixth ranked Roma Luiss (14-8) rolled over at home 16th ranked Isernia (2-20) 101-80 on Saturday. They outrebounded Isernia 42-29 including a 20-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Quite impressive performance for center Eugenio Beretta (208-96) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Andrea Scuderi (188-92, agency: Players Group) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Roma Luiss' coach Andrea Paccarie felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Andrea Murolo (179-96) replied with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and guard Ferdinando Smorra (185-88) added 18 points in the effort for Isernia. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Roma Luiss moved-up to fifth place in B, which they share with Vicenza and Faenza. Loser Isernia keeps the sixteenth position with 20 games lost. Roma Luiss will face higher ranked Salerno (#3) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Isernia will play against Roma S.Azzurra (#7) and hope to win that game.
