Regular Season Round 36: Iwate Big Bulls - Aomori Watts 72-70

Important game to mention about took place in Iwate. Sixth ranked Iwate Big Bulls (4-31) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 5th ranked Aomori Watts (8-27) 72-70 on Saturday evening. Iwate Big Bulls players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Markhuri Sanders-Frison (203-88, college: California) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 16 rebounds and 8 assists and the other American import center Jalen McGaughy (208, college: Dillard) who added 14 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Iwate Big Bulls players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Joe Burton (201-90, college: Oregon St.) with a triple-double by scoring 15 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists and guard Keijiro Monma (185-94) scored 9 points and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Iwate Big Bulls maintains sixth position with 4-31 record. Aomori Watts lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 27 games lost. Iwate Big Bulls will again play against higher ranked Aomori Watts (#5) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Aomori Watts will have a break next round.
